The course runs for five days, beginning on Monday at 9:00 AM and concluding on Friday at approximately 2:00 PM.
Daily sessions are scheduled from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with some days extending until 8:00 PMdepending on clinical case flow.
CEVO is a private dental institute in Brazil specializing in advanced surgical dentistry. The institute treats a high volume of patients from across the country and offers mini-residency programs for international dentists.
These programs provide hands-on clinical experience while delivering high-quality care to patients who may not otherwise have access to advanced dental treatments, creating a mutually beneficial educational model.
The course is predominantly hands-on.
• Day One: Half-day lecture covering foundational concepts
• Days Two to Five: Full clinical training with live patient cases
CEVO works with a dedicated marketing team and maintains partnerships with general hospitals that refer patients who are unable to afford advanced dental care. Treatments are provided at no cost to the patients, supporting both education and community care.
Yes. All patients undergo a comprehensive screening process prior to surgery.
Pre- and post-operative medications and protocols are fully managed by the course team.
Participants will have the opportunity to perform a wide range of advanced surgical procedures, including:
• Surgical extractions
• Impacted wisdom teeth extractions
• Dental implant placement
• Sinus lifting procedures
• All-on-X full-arch rehabilitation
• Periodontal management around implants
Yes. The course provides access to a high volume of patients. Prior to the program, participants complete a preference form indicating their top three procedures of interest, allowing the experience to be tailored as closely as possible to individual learning goals.
The course maintains an optimal learning environment with a 1:2 instructor-to-student ratio, ensuring close supervision and individualized guidance.
Most instructors speak English. For instructors who do not, English-speaking assistants are available to ensure clear communication at all times.
Yes. Transportation is fully arranged by the course:
• Shuttle service from Rio de Janeiro to Valença or Volta Redonda on the day prior to the course
• Return shuttle to Rio de Janeiro on the day following course completion
Yes. Each participant is provided with a private room for six nights:
• Check-in: Sunday before the course
• Check-out: Saturday after the course
Flights are not included. However, we are happy to assist with flight planning. A WhatsApp group will be created for participants to coordinate travel arrangements if desired.
Yes. The course is accredited by the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario (RCDSO) and provides 50 Continuing Education (CE) hours – Category 3.
While travel plans are flexible, we recommend arriving 2–3 days before the course and departing one day after its conclusion to allow for rest and travel ease.
Brazil offers a wide range of cultural, culinary, and leisure experiences. Participants are encouraged to explore the country before or after the course.
